Instagramin’ in Denver

Hello friends! Just got back from Denver last night. My luggage didn’t make it :( But thankfully it arrived at my house this morning. Anyways, just wanted to share with you a few photos I took on my trip from my instagram.

Waiting at the airport, flight was delayed (ended up being cancelled & I had to rebook for later in the day)… In my Anthropologie floral printed dress with my MK watch. Comfy travel wear.

Colorful hotel closet :)

My grandmother’s grandmother’s cameo from the 1800s! Wore it out on the town one night with a lacey dress & wedges.

Larimer Square, Downtown Denver. There is a YSL exhibit going on now through July 8 at the Denver Art Museum. Didn’t get the chance to go, but if you are in Denver while it’s going on you should check it out! I bet it’s amazing.

My lovely purchases from H&M, which I talked about in this post [HERE].

A little glimpse of the mountains… On our way to dinner at The Keg Steakhouse. Great food!

Went bowling at Lucky Strike. Such a fun time!

Hope you enjoyed the photos! Keep up with me on my instagram [HERE] for more.

P.S. If you are ever in Denver you should go to The Kitchen downtown for lunch. It’s farm-to-table style and the food is wonderful, as well as the decor. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos from there, but you can check out their web site [HERE]. It’s an awesome place. Glad we got to stop in.

I ♥ H&M

Hi! I’m still in Denver and having a great time… There are no H&M stores anywhere close to where I live in Louisiana, and as we all know you can’t buy their clothes online :( So, naturally, I just had to stop in. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and didn’t have much time to look around or try anything on, so I went the accessory route. Got this AH-MAZING statement necklace & a gold braided skinny belt. These 2 pieces have been on my wish list for a while and I could never find anything that I liked enough (at a decent price) to buy. H&M is my savior!!!

P.S. Check out my instagram [HERE]. I’ve been documenting my stay in CO over there. I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by :)

Stripes + Pastels

Top & Clutch- Target, Skirt & Heels- BCBG MAXAZRIA, Necklace- LOFT, Watch- Michele, Silver Cuff- see where it came from in this post [HERE], Rings- David Yurman . Tiffany’s . vintage, Sunnies- Chanel

Hi! I’m in Colorado for work right now. So fun. This is an outfit I tried on the other day when I was packing. Do you ever do that… try on everything in your closet in an attempt to decide what to bring? I do, at least with the pieces I’ve never worn together. Must be why it takes me hours to pack, and I always seem to do it at the last minute, of course. I felt very springy in this outfit, with all the different colored pastels. My mom used to say to me that I didn’t need to always dress so “matchy-matchy”… So here you go Mom, haha. I still think all the colors compliment one another well. Ok, have a great rest of your day :)

Instagramin’ in Austin

Hi loves. So I wanted to share with you a few pieces of our weekend bachelorette adventures in Austin via my instagram. We had a blast!

The AMAZING loft we stayed in. It was above this bar called Chupacabra, ha, and was ON 6th St… Perfect for us tourists from Louisiana :)

One of the wall decorations in our loft. Moose Knuckle was the bar next door. What a silly name.

The famous Hey Cupcake food trailer on South Congress. If you haven’t been, go! BEST CUPCAKES EVER, yummmm.

Went shopping on South Congress too. Got some cute, comfy white COTTON shorts, some fun handmade jewelry, & a vintage gold skinny belt.

And my new Tory Burch clutch. Which I showed off in yesterday’s outfit post [HERE].

What a fun time. Hey, follow me on instagram @pieceology [HERE] to keep up with my random life. Or click the link on my right side bar.

Heading to Denver tomorrow for work. So excited. I’m just a little traveling bug these days! Talk soon :)

Black + Floral

Top & Pants- Target, Sandals- Sam Edelman [HERE], Clutch- Tory Burch, Necklace- Rodeo Baton Rouge (local), Watch- Michael Kors, Sunnies- Chanel

Happy Monday everyone! I wore this outfit over the weekend when I was in Austin for a friend’s bachelorette party. We had so much fun! Also, I bit the bullet and bought myself the Tory Burch clutch I’ve been wanting for months. I wanted it in black, but I got to the store and immediately changed my mind when I saw this pewter one with a gold chain (goes with so much). I love it! And it was on sale a little, so I feel semi-better about purchasing it, haha. I hope the first day of your week went as well as mine did!

P.S. I am so excited to tell you that I am featured on The Pink Peonies blog post today [HERE] about spring trends. Rachel accepted reader submissions, then ended up picking 20 to feature in her post, me included! How exciting is that?! I submitted this outfit [HERE]. Thank you so much Rachel, and please check out her blog if you haven’t already. She is so cute and has an amazing sense of style :)

New Goodies- Shoes + Accessories

Clockwise: Black & Gold Sandal- Sam Edelman via Piperlime [HERE], Statement Necklace- Rodeo, Baton Rouge (local), Tan Gladiator Sandal- Target, Wedge- Shoemint, Gold Sandal- Dolce Vita via Marshall’s, Candle- Pier 1 (birthday gift from a friend), Yellow Snakeskin Clutch- Mimi Boutique (sold out), Watch- Michael Kors (birthday gift from Dad)

Hi, happy Thursday! I decided to start showcasing new fun things I buy or receive each month. So here is my first installment of what I’ll call “New Goodies” :) Here are a few close ups of my favs from the bunch:

You’ll be seeing a lot of these Sam Edelman’s in my outfit posts. They are so comfy, well-made, and I love the little gold heel.

My beloved MK watch my Dad got me for my birthday. Got it on sale on Overstock. They have amazing deals!

I have to say, I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep this clutch. I bought it when the yellow clutch from ASOS I really wanted sold out before I could snag one. It since is back in stock and I just ordered it a few days ago. But, I love this bag and the service from Mimi Boutique is so great! I was really impressed. It came wrapped neatly in a ton of tissue paper WITH a personally HANDwritten note thanking me for shopping with them. Plus before and after it was delivered to me I got confirmation emails with my tracking #. Please check this store out [HERE]. I’m a sucker for thoughtful things like this. So I think I’ll keep it now and just have 2 yellow clutches haha. What the heck.

Got my first pair of shoes from Shoemint. Haven’t gotten the chance to wear them yet, but I do really like them!

I also ordered these amazing Rebecca Minkoff wedges via Piperlime a couple months ago, BUT they’ve been on backorder ever since. So, I’m still waiting. Very impatiently by the way. But, SO WORTH IT. I mean… look at them!

Ok lovelies. Have a great Friday + weekend! Mine will be spent in Austin for a dear friend’s bachelorette party (the one who gave me that cute candle from Pier 1). Woohoo, pardy hardy!

Comfy on a Rainy Day

Top- TJ Maxx, Skirt (old)- local boutique (now closed down), Wedges- BC Footwear via ideeli, Necklace- Vertigo Clothing (local), Watch- Michael Kors

I wore this outfit to dinner last night. It was raining all day, but I found a small window to take a few photos. All the pieces I’m wearing are super comfy, yet fashionable. Great for a rainy day. I love tops like this. It’s definitely an essential piece to have in your wardrobe… good for any season. And from TJ Maxx it was only 10 bucks! This skirt I’ve had for a few years, but have probably worn it only one other time. It’s got a really cute, unique floral print + pockets… my fav. And the wedges are new and soooo comfy. Hope you’re all having a great week!

Easter Maxi

Dress- Express, Belt- Urban Outfitters, Navy Sandals- Tory Burch, Watch- Michael Kors (birthday present from Dad), Necklace- Dogeared

Hi, happy Monday friends! This is what I wore yesterday for Easter. We had such a nice day spent eating lots of yummy food and hanging out with family. This floral printed maxi dress was perfectly comfortable for all the eating that went on. Although, toward the end of the day (after 2 large meals + snacking in between) I had to surrender the belt ;) Hope your Easter was as nice as mine… Now, time for some much needed yoga!

Wore It For My Birthday

Top- F21, Shorts- AE, Wedges- Michael by Michael Kors, Jewelry- Dogeared, local & vintage, Bag- Coach

Hi! This is what I wore to eat dinner last night for my birthday. I’ve been wearing these new shorts from American Eagle for days. They are so comfy and casual, but can be quickly dressed up with a wedge or chunky heel. Love ’em. If you want to keep up with my posts easily please follow me on Bloglovin’. Just click the button on the right side bar. Have a great rest of the day :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hi Friends! That’s right, today is my birthday. I turned 24! So, naturally, my cake had 4 candles on it (for the 4 in 24). I’ve gotten to old to put all the candles of my age on one cake, so we improvise ;) My sweet friend Allison bought me this cake and made me a delicious dinner tonight. I am so grateful to her. Thanks Allison!!

I’ll be having several posts this week about birthday festivities. I’ve been celebrating since Saturday! Hope everyone is having as lovely of a start to their week as I am. Birthday’s are so magical.
